Services to the community

To achieve its mission and goals, GMBA :

• maintains a growing databases of members and resources, which are cross-linked with the mountain ranges of the GMBA mountain inventory
• develops the online Mountain Portal for mountain biodiversity data visualization and query
• critically evaluates current mountain biodiversity indicators
• supports data mobilization
• develops standardized definition and tools to maximize synergies between scientists and facilitate research at various spatio-temporal scales
• facilitates collaborations through working groups and projects
• (co-)organises workshops and conferences, training, and thematic sessions on various topics related to mountain biodiversity, global change, and sustainable mountain development
• offers different channels for relaying news, knowledge and information to various segments of the mountain biodiversity community in an appropriate format and language
